Class Goal: To have fun learning, dancing, and exploring.
The Movement Exploration Dance Program at Starr Studios in Salem, Oregon is a two-year, structured-play curriculum that gently introduces children age 2-4 to the world of physical activity and classroom structures. Students will participate in a wide variety of developmentally-appropriate dance activities designed to build strength, increase flexibility, improve coordination and balance, introduce basic movement capabilities, encourage creativity, boost confidence, introduce rhythm and musicality, and encourage friendship and teamwork.
The Movement Exploration Program is designed to follow the Pre-Kindergarten Standards for physical development set forth by the University of Nevada and endorsed by the National Association for Sport and Physical Education, and the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports.
